Safety in marriage

Marriage is a beautiful gift because God designed it to be the fireplace for sexual desire. Within marriage, those passions can be expressed freely, safely, and without shame.

Lust is different. When you chase desires and practices outside of God’s design, you’re playing with a fire that has nothing to contain it. Just as a fireplace warms a home without destroying it, sexual desire inside marriage brings intimacy and life. But a fire loose in a house doesn’t stay in one room. It spreads until it consumes everything.

That is what lust does. It doesn’t stop where you think it will. Left unchecked, it can burn through your purity, your peace, your marriage, your family, your purpose, and ultimately your life.

God didn’t create fire to destroy you. He created a place for it to burn safely. Respect the boundaries, and the fire becomes a blessing instead of a disaster.
